Animal Control Technician I
Under the supervision of the Director, employee cleans and disinfects facility and cages. Feeds, waters and ensures animals receive medical attention as needed. Receives animals, communicates with and assists the general public. Responds to needs of the shelter, animals, and to requests made by the Chilton County Commission. Performs all tasks as defined by and within the parameters of the State Department of Animal Health.

Under the general supervision of the Director this employee cleans and disinfects animal shelter and cages. Feeds, waters and administers treatments and medications as prescribed. Receives animals, communicates with and assists the general public. Responds to needs of the shelter, animals, and to requests made by the Clarke County Commission. Performs euthanasia and disposes of animals properly. Performs all tasks as defined by and within the parameters of the State Department of Animal Health.

JOB SUMMARY The Animal Shelter Assistant Director provides primary assistance to the Animal Shelter Director and oversees the work of the Animal Shelter staff. In the absence of the Animal Shelter Manager, this position manages and oversees all aspects of the Animal Shelter including day-to-day operations, animal care and control, staff management, contractual compliance, and managing outside relationships. The Animal Shelter Assistant Director makes recommendations to the Animal Shelter Director to help
